• An Initial Training Network ’SOPRANO’ (Spin and Orbital Physics : Research of Advanced New Oxides) has started on the 1st of October 2008, funded by the European FP7 Marie Curie program.

• A two-year post-doc position is open at the Physiscs Department of the
  Univerisity "Federico II", Naples, Italy

The research activity will take place on an advanced experimental facility dedicated to the growth and the characterization of epitaxial oxide thin fims. The facility is a UHV multichamber system including a deposition chamber for RHEED-assisted pulsed laser deposition and analytical chambers for photoemission, electron
diffraction and scanning probe microscopy.

The successfull candidate will be a skilled young researcher with a well documented documented previous experience in materials science and possibly in epitaxial thin film growth. He/she will work on the growth of epitaxial thin films and multilayers of different manganites and on the development of manganite-based devices.

The positions will be assigned on the base of an official competition.
The deadline for the application is January 20.
